Interview with Attorney Mirkhan

#1: What made you choose a career in law?

Seeking Justice always interested me. The idea of Injustice always bothered me. Furthermore, I always thought that a just society was a necessary prerequisite to a civilization's advancement. Thus, a career in law seemed to be the best choice for advancing these interests.

#2: In your opinion, what sets your firm apart from other firms in the area?

Total dedication to client needs. Clients tell me that they are amazed by the level of attention that they get. Furthermore, all clients are treated equally regardless of the size of their cases. Therefore, personal attention to each and every case, diligent and competent efforts to advance client interests, creative and imaginative legal procedures, and fearless advocacy in the face of the toughest opposition, forms the hallmarks of my law practice.

#3: Tell us about a case that you are particularly proud of:

There are many. In particular I specialize in discovering the hidden potential of a case. Therefore, in many instances I find myself advocating a case against what is considered to be the "norm". Thus, many attorneys might initially underestimate the value of the cases that I advocate. But as those cases progress, it becomes apparent that there were multiple aspects in those cases hidden to the untrained eye, which eventually leads to a powerful case engulfing the opposing side.

I am particularly proud of cases that can have the maximum impact on the clients' lives and have the maximum potential to deter wrongdoing.

#4: What steps do you take to prepare for a difficult case?

The short answer to this question is: Preparation, preparation, and more preparation. Difficult cases require advance preparation and careful attention to detail. As a legal strategy, it is best if effective discovery is conducted early in the case so that it can be determined how to proceed in the case.

Furthermore, it is essential not to shy away from the weaknesses of a case. Any weakness must be confronted early on and an appropriate strategy must be devised for dealing with any such weakness. Failure to do so could often mean the difference between winning and losing a case.

#5: How do you view your role in the attorney-client relationship?

I view my role as a counselor advising the clients of the risks and benefits of different approaches to finding an appropriate solution to their legal problems. Clients must have a realistic understanding of the legal system and particularly be aware of its limitations. Clients also need a reliable advocate who understands their needs and advances their interests. Therefore, my role as an attorney is to build an attorney-client relationship based on mutual trust and competent legal representation for clients.

#6: What sets you apart from other attorneys – why is this important?

Excellent client relations, competent and excellent legal representation, methodical and strategic approach to the practice of law, and a quest to seek justice against all odds. Furthermore, regardless of the size of a case, clients are treated equally. In short, experience, honesty, and integrity form the hallmarks of my legal practice.

#7: How does having experience benefit your clients?

Experience in the legal field means having the knowledge and know-how to navigate the intricacies of complex legal problems and the ability to find an acceptable solution for these difficult cases. It means having a road map from the very beginning of a case so that client resources can be preserved and their legal problems resolved in the most efficient way possible.

#8: What types of cases do you specifically handle?

I handle all forms of Breach of contract, banking disputes, insurance disputes, broker liability, unfair competition, business fraud and business litigation. I also handle catastrophic injury type of cases including Wrongful Death claims.

#9: In your opinion, what is the most rewarding aspect of your job?

Serving Justice. There are a few things more satisfying than seeing justice served. Thus, when an injured party is redressed through the effective use of the judicial system, that is the most rewarding aspect of my job.

#10: What advice do you most often give your clients & why?

To consult with an attorney on all important legal matters and also know that litigation is an expensive endeavor. Too often I receive calls from potential clients who like to receive free or low cost legal services. This is primarily based on lack of knowledge about the judicial system and how it works. However, potential clients need to take legal matters more seriously and understand that 1) it is worthwhile to invest some money to have adequate legal representation, and 2) money invested in attorney fees will not be lost and will result in the protection of clients' legal interests which ultimately saves more money than when a client does NOT have legal representation.

The other advice I give my clients or potential clients, is to seek legal representation very early in the process. Too often, clients have waited too long in order to obtain legal representation. This can directly impair a client's legal interests.

Experience. Honesty. Integrity.

Mistakes in litigation can ruin your business financially. Protecting the financial health of your business is our number one priority.
